Ever wondered how to use bead frames
in your jewelry designs?
Use bead frames along with other
conventional components to create this unique earring design.
Bead frames accent colorful beads by "framing" the
color. This can add depth and weight to your designs.
This is a great beginner project.
Use Swarovski crystal or similarly shaped Czech glass in the
color of your choice.
Tools:
Round Nose Pliers
Flat Nose Pliers
Wire Cutters
Ingredients:
2 - 6 mm Swarovski crystal faceted
round beads
2 - 4 mm Swarovski crystal bicone beads
2 - 9 mm square gold plated bead frames
2 - 11 mm round gold plated bead frames
2 - 11 mm square gold plated bead links
6 - gold-filled eye pins
2 - gold-filled ear wires
Directions:
- Thread a 4 mm bicone crystal
in a 9 mm square bead frame on to an eye pin.
- Repeat for the other earring.
- Thread a 6 mm round crystal
in an 11 mm round bead frame on to an eye pin.
- Repeat for the other earring.
- Finish off the top of each pin
with using the simple
loop technique.
- Using the opening
jump rings technique connect the round link to the square
link.
- Repeat for the other earring.
- Cut the eye off of an eye pin
and use the remaining wire to To attach the bottom most square
bead link use the briolette
wrap technique.
- Repeat for the other earring.
- To finish the earrings attach
the top most simple loops to the earwires and ENJOY!
